Energy certification is mandatory for commercial and services buildings, public buildings, among others. The optimization of energy use in companies plays an important role in their competitiveness and an important environmental gain. Through energy certification, we characterize the installation and the main energy consuming equipment. We identify opportunities to reduce consumption, either by replacing equipment or by changing processes. Decathlon is a company that needs no introduction, and that aims to meet the needs of sportsmen, providing, in one place, a large amount of sporting goods and building a lifelong relationship with its customers. Present in more than 50 countries, it opened its first store in Portugal in 2000 and currently has more than 30 stores on national soil.
